Overview
The Group Sales Manager (GSM) position is responsible for the revenue growth and professional development of Account Executives and Account Executive Trainees. GSM is responsible for all day to day activities that result in revenue generation for their sales team.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall talent of team to achieve objective of best-in-class sales force
- Manage selling productivity of Account Executives and Account Executive Trainees on a daily basis
- Improve effectiveness, as measured by revenue growth, of Account Executive Trainees by coaching, on-going training and mentoring
- Manage leads distribution and assignment for team
- Manage service level of team
- Drive new business through new customer setups
- Resolve tactical issues related to revenue generation, service and administrative support
- Increase revenue of key customers by supporting, developing and implementing key account strategies
- Train team in regards to the sales process and associated responsibilities
- Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills, at least 45 wpm typing skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- On call, receiving calls from clients and carriers 24/7 including holidays, weekends and evenings
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
