The Senior Account Manager is a strategic leader responsible for managing high-value client accounts, driving project success, and fostering strong client relationships. This role requires advanced communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills to meet complex client needs and organizational objectives.
The Senior Account Manager will oversee project budgets, lead internal process initiatives, mentor junior team members, and positively contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization. This role provides an opportunity to lead large enterprise projects and manage strategic client relationships, helping our clients accomplish their website and branding goals and achieve business growth.
The Senior Account Manager will play a critical role in driving client satisfaction, ensuring project efficiency, and facilitating career development for Account Managers, while maintaining a positive work environment and supportive company culture.
What You'll Do:
- Client Communication: Adapt communication styles for various situations and personalities, lead productive client conversations, and manage project risks appropriately with Group Account Directors.
- Project Management: Independently manage large enterprise projects, problem solve proactively around project plan risk, and has a high degree of business acumen when it comes to contracts, budgets, and timelines.
- Relationship Building: Maintain strong client relationships, anticipate client needs, and work proactively to solve for those needs in a timely manner. Also, mentor junior team members and facilitate career development within the Account Management department.
- Budget Management: Expertly understand project budget calculations, provide strategic oversight of project budgets, and drive initiatives that achieve efficiency and cost savings.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrate deep knowledge of our clients’ business goals, identify key business drivers, and develop project plans that achieve project goals and business growth.
- Resilience & Adaptability: Manage uncertainty productively, learn from mistakes, and maintain a positive mindset as you work through challenges.
- Communication & Planning: Has strong communication skills, solid organization, leads internal and external meetings, and is adept at pivoting when needed based on new project requirements.
- Problem Solving: Maintain a solutions-oriented and growth mindset, identify and address issues proactively, and apply a 1:3:1 framework for problem solving independently and making informed recommendations to Group Account Directors.
- New Business Support: Assist in pitches, write change orders, and support new business development within existing accounts.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: 5+ years (ideally at a digital agency)
- Website Build Experience: An expert understanding of how websites are built, the different roles and responsibilities involved, and both waterfall and agile project management approaches.
- Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Possesses strong organization and collaboration skills.
- Digital Marketing Background: Has an understanding of integrated digital marketing and its various intersection points with successful website build projects. The foresight and understanding to loop in additional marketing disciplines beyond web when appropriate.
- Project Management: Experienced in collaborating with and independently leading internal project ownership, depending on project size and scope. Has past experience leveraging project management software and spreadsheets to help keep projects on time and on budget.
