What's AdeptID?
AdeptID is a high-growth software company with a cloud-based, API-first AI platform that powers 100M job placements and applications per year, helping businesses match talent to jobs at scale. We are a twenty-person hybrid team based in downtown Boston.
What will you do in this role?
As a Sales Engineer, you'll drive the technical implementation of our API-first talent matching AI platform. In this pivotal role, you'll apply your technical chops and "hacker" approach, a keen understanding of customer needs, and goal-oriented seller mindset to bridge the gap between customers and our technical teams, ensuring seamless integration and maximizing customer success. You'll be instrumental in transforming complex technical capabilities into tangible business value for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of AdeptID's AI-powered talent matching technology and how our solutions add business value for our customers
- Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and software demonstrations to show (vs tell) customers how they can use AdeptID's products to address their needs, and collaborate with sales team to drive deals to close
- Design and propose tailored API solutions to meet specific customer needs, including creating demo-able proofs of concepts
- During implementation, provide technical expertise and tactical guidance to customer design and development teams to ensure the solution launches successfully
- Work closely with the Product team to ensure alignment between client requirements and our solutions, including identifying new product features and enhancements that will address regular technical and user pain points
- Contribute to the development of internal and customer-facing technical documentation and technical sales/marketing collateral and demos
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations in AI and talent matching technologies
Qualifications
- Experience in a customer-facing technical pre-sales role, preferably in the HR tech field
- Sales skills and (especially) excitement around closing technically complex deals
- Strong understanding of SaaS technical architecture patterns and integration mechanisms, especially RESTful APIs
- Experience with Python and SQL
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with data-driven matching algorithms or recommendation systems is a plus
